Lexical heterogeneity in cooking recipes of the Russian Germans

The article focuses on preservation of the German insular dialects in Altai region, namely the research of recipe vocabulary of the Russian Germans. The modern recipes are analyzed, which were recorded in the villages of the German national district in Altai region. According to the results of the liguistic research, the mother tongue of their inhabitans, along with Russian, is Upper and Low German dialects of mixed nature. Their features are specifi ed by the prevailing oral form, their isolation from the basic linguistic community and deep integration into the Russian-speaking society. The applied material research shows that the verbs denoting different cooking processess prevail in the recipes, however they also contain general verbs, which can possess additional meanings.
