Education and degrees
In 1984, graduated with honours from the Department of Scandinavia Studies, LSU in Philology and Germanic Studies.
In 1990, Candidate of Philology, thesis title: “Structure of a simple verb sentence in the Even language”.
In 2002, Doctor of Philology, thesis title: “Syntax of the Even language: Structural, semantic and communication aspects “.

Over 80 publications, among them about 50 in English. 2 monographs in Russian and 3 in English. Publications in journals: “Voprosy Yazykoznania”, “Linguistics”, “Lingua”, “Linguistic Inquiry”, “Journal of Semantics”, “Linguistic Typology”, and “Sprachtypologie und Universalienforschung”. Co-author of “Handbook of case” (with A. Spenser), Oxford University Press, and monographs on typology of ditransitive  constructions (with М. Haspelmath and B. Comrie) иand on typology of valency classes (with B. Comrie), Mouton de Gruyter.
